For many children, a morning of carefree play is something to look forward to. But for some families in the Freegan Foundation coaching and food bank program, outings like this are often out of reach due to financial challenges. During SXM DOET, we want to change that.
With this project, we will take a group of children from the Freegan coaching families on a fun morning outing to Kids Zone in St. Maarten. It will be a chance for them to play, laugh, explore, and simply enjoy being kids in a safe and supportive environment. While the children are out having fun, their parents or caregivers will also have a few hours of free time to rest, take care of personal matters, or simply recharge.
We also want to instill volunteer work with the children, by adding a moment to make an artwork by the children for a person who goes to the foodbank, which they will get during their next shopping moment.

Volunteers from the project (such as the coaches) will be present to guide the group, and we are looking for a few enthusiastic volunteers to join us for the morning. Volunteers will help monitor the children, play games, support activities, and, most importantly, help create a joyful and memorable experience for the kids.
