Help Us Make the Gazebo Safer and More Fun!

Help Us Make the Gazebo Safer and More Fun!
The Scouting Antonio District of St. Maarten is inviting volunteers to join a hands-on project to add wooden lattice fencing around the lower outdoor gazebo. This gazebo is a favorite spot for youth activities, lessons, and community gatherings—but right now, the open sides leave it unprotected.

By helping out, you’ll make the space safer for children, prevent falls, and give the gazebo a fresh, welcoming look—all while keeping it open, airy, and bright!

During SXMDOET, volunteers will measure and mark the perimeter, attach support beams, and install the wooden lattice panels. You might also cut panels, secure them with nails or screws, reinforce any weak spots, and help tidy up when the job is done.

Come join us, have fun, and leave a lasting mark on a space that brings the community together!
A fully fenced gazebo deck that provides a safe, enclosed space for children during outdoor programs and activities.
Secure installation of black safety netting along the metal gate behind the gazebo to prevent accidents, block unsafe gaps, and create a more controlled environment.
A safer, more structured outdoor learning and recreation area that supports youth development programs.
Improved visual appeal of the gazebo area, making it more welcoming for community events and youth sessions.
Enhanced safety standards that reduce fall risks and protect children during daily use.
A long‑lasting improvement that strengthens the overall functionality of the space and allows the foundation to host activities more confidently and efficiently.
