Reading Benches for Free Little Libraries 📚

Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset would like to execute a community project that focuses on building benches to accompany our existing Free Little Libraries, creating welcoming and community-friendly reading spaces across Sint Maarten.

The main objective of this project is to install durable and accessible benches next to selected Free Little Library locations so that residents, students, families, and visitors can comfortably sit, read, and enjoy the space immediately where the books are located. By providing seating directly at the libraries, each location will become a small neighborhood reading corner encouraging people to slow down, connect, and engage with books in a relaxed outdoor setting.

This initiative aims to strengthen community interaction, promote literacy and outdoor learning, and foster a culture of shared reading by transforming simple book exchange points into functional and welcoming public reading spaces that reflect community pride.
