Since 1980, the Sint Maarten Yacht Club has been doing more than organizing regattas. It's been building a sailing culture on this island. From the world-famous St. Maarten Heineken Regatta to its youth sailing program that teaches local kids teamwork, perseverance, and confidence out on the water, SMYC has long been a cornerstone of Sint Maarten's sporting and community life.
And like any well-loved facility, their sailing school could use a little love in return.

This SXM Doet, SMYC is inviting volunteers to help freshen up the storage and workshop containers at their sailing school. A good coat of paint, some elbow grease, and a few hours of good company — that's all it takes to brighten up a space that serves the next generation of Sint Maarten sailors every day.
