The St. Maarten Community Collective (SMCCR) is committed to creating safe, active, and welcoming spaces within the South Reward community. As part of SXM DOET, this project focuses on revitalizing the local basketball court, an important gathering place for youth and residents.
Over time, the court has experienced wear and tear and is now in need of a refresh. With the support of volunteers, we aim to bring new life to this space by:
- Repainting the basketball court for a clean, vibrant, and professional look
- Installing new basketball nets to improve play quality
- Making general upgrades and improvements to enhance the overall appearance and functionality
This project will not only improve the look of the court but also encourage sports, teamwork, and positive community interaction A refreshed court creates a space where young people can stay active, build friendships, and take pride in their neighborhood.
