Last year, the Dutch Quarter Community Council took to the streets with a simple but powerful idea: that a neighbourhood with proper, well-placed street signs is a neighbourhood that takes pride in itself. Volunteers installed uplifting road signs adorned with positive and motivational quotes throughout Dutch Quarter, and the response from residents and visitors alike proved that small changes really do make a big difference.
This SXM Doet, they're back...and going further.
The project continues with a new round of street sign installation, helping visitors navigate Dutch Quarter with ease while preserving the charm and character of one of Sint Maarten's most historic communities. Every sign installed is another step toward a neighbourhood that feels cared for, connected, and ready to welcome anyone who passes through.
