"You Matter" Day

NIPA — the National Institute for Professional Advancement — is Sint Maarten's vocational education institution, training the next generation of professionals to build stronger communities. Their Social Pedagogic Worker (SPW) students are trained to support people of all ages in living independently and thriving: in schools, care facilities, youth centers, and beyond. And this SXM Doet, they're putting those skills into action in the most meaningful way possible!

NIPA's SPW students are organising a special mentorship day for foster youth on Sint Maarten — a fun, uplifting, and empowering day where every child gets to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. The day is packed with inspiring speakers, interactive activities, and confidence-building sessions, all designed to help each young person dream big and discover their own potential

This is where you come in! While NIPA's SPW students will be leading the day, we're looking for extra volunteers to help things run smoothly — whether that's assisting with activities, engaging with the kids, or simply being a warm and encouraging presence in the room.
