Sensory & Community Engagement

Sensory community activity with the Dutch Royal Marines is a prime mission-critical activity to develop youth empowering programs utilizing paramilitary science that stimulate cognitive, emotional intelligence, and cultural excellence that shapes the Youth of the Brigade to be proud, productive citizens of St. Maarten. Members will have an informal learning session on Search and rescue missions, preparedness for natural disasters, and resilience. We will utilize the active learning method to keep our members engaged and prepared under any circumstances.

This project will ensure our members have theoretical knowledge about their community and use their senses to overcome obstacles safely and ethically. Furthermore, understanding the importance of law enforcement institution's managing disasters and how to conduct missions such as: • Search and rescue mission • Preparedness for natural disasters (hurricanes) • Resilience in the face of adversity • Humanitarian aid
