EPIC Nature Trail Clearing

We are looking for help to clear a hiking trail which is used as part of our environmental education programme. EPIC leads regular free hikes in 10 locations. One of the trails has yet to be properly cleared since Irma passed and we are looking for 25 energetic volunteers of all ages to help us prepare it. You don’t have to be superhuman, you just need to like being in nature! There is work that can be done by all ages and skills levels: people who can safely use tools to cut back the overgrowth as well as those, including children, who can then clear the debris from the path. So come and spend some time outdoors enhancing our local environment so more people can enjoy the beauty our island has to offer. After all your hard work, you will be able to hike the trail and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Hike alone or share the new trail with friends. You could also go with an EPIC guide who can provide commentary along the way or ask us to organize a hike with your school. We look forward to working with you. Wear pants, long sleeves, sun protection, and close-toed shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle and positive energy for making nature more accessible! We will work Friday and Saturday mornings.
