restoration of the basketball court in Dutch Quarter

What the council is aiming for is to have the proper rims and backboards restored with the appropriate equipment. As well as the fencing to be restored as this forms a danger for kids playing on the court, who might run after a ball and subsequently endanger themselves by going over the bound of the court which is higher than the ground level. Also the council would like to commission any and all artists from Dutch Quarter to paint mural on the basket ball court with a positive message. The council also would like to donate the to be replaced backboard and rims to the Dr. Martin Luther King school as they do not possess any such sporting infrastructure for themselves.
Currently 20 volunteers wanted
the desired result of the project is to realized a restoration of the basketball court to what it was before the hurricane and to provide a safe and positive environment for youngsters in particular boys to find themselves in.
